Samyar Tehrani is one of truly talented, great artists of Iran who approached me in 2008 to work on an album with him.  The project went through ups and downs mainly because of issues the music industry has been facing within the past few years, however, with the effort of everyone in particular the artist himself, the album finally released in the beginning of 2010 with a Iranian record company based in Los Angeles, Century Records.

In addition to the arrangement, mixing, and songwriting work I was hired for, I also did two music videos for him which I have picked out some behind the scene photos, and put together some footages that I shot with my iphone from behind the scenes.

Prior to releasing the album, we have decided to release a song called “Shabeh Jome” which we also shot and released a video for in 2008.  It was my first experience with the Sony EX-1.  To this day, I think the EX-1 is much better than the popular Panasonic HVX series as far as work flow, handling and quality of the picture goes.

Model, Actress, and MTC TV Host, Tala Golzar was featured on this video which added a very unique look to the video.  This was Tala’s first Iranian music video.

Make up was done by Jason Lotfi who is a great Iranian character make up artist.
